Started in Baltimore, Maryland in 1999, Otakon is "the convention of the otaku generation: by fans, for fans" and they will be holding their 19th event in 2012. Otakon celebrates anime, manga, and all facets of Asian pop culture with a variety of activities, workshops and contests.
