AD&T had a quiet meeting, as quite a few of our members were off on holiday (yeay!) or dealing with various other commitments. This meant that we made it through our agenda in record time, i.e. within the two hours actually scheduled for the meeting. (This is probably only exciting to us, but take our word for it it's a red letter day.)
We've been really busy in AD&T working on getting our next deploy ready. Thanks to a huge effort from everyone on the team, we expect to be ready to roll our new code out tomorrow! There are 93 issues in the new deploy! :o
We've had a busy month in AD&T! There have been several exciting code developments, and because life events for our team have prevented us sticking to our planned monthly deploy schedule, we've built up an impressive 98 issues for our next deploy! This is giving our testers plenty to work on!
AD&T has been a little bit quiet for a while, as quite a few members of the committee have had a busy and/or turbulent couple of months. However, we've still been working away, and there is some exciting stuff on the horizon!
Now that the Archive of Our Own is humming along on new, more powerful servers (thank you, fandom!), members of the Archive team have begun fleshing out a list of concrete and not-so-concrete tasks needed to make fanart hosting a reality!
It's time to name the AO3 servers! We had a whole host of wonderful nominations, and our nominations committee have spent many hours collating them and whittling them down to a shortlist. We're excited by the fannish diversity represented in this range of names.
Voting will be open until 22 March 2011, and we'll announce the winners shortly thereafter.
The Archive of our Own will be down for maintenance today, Thursday 10 February, from c. 18.00 UTC, for approximately 6 hours (What time is this where I am?).
Today is the day of the new servers! Our colocation host has run some new power lines for our hungry beasts, and moved our trusty old servers into the rack with the shiny new ones. Today, we'll be switching over to actually using the new servers!
